About the Role

Expert Fintech Assurance & AML risk will be part of the Business Assurance team in the Finance Division and will be responsible for Assurance, Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Management, Controls Development, and Process Automation. The role includes monitoring subscription and technical fraud, conducting Mobile Financial Services (MFS) assurance, and performing transaction analysis through Business Assurance systems.

The position will leverage data analytics and data science tools such to support fraud detection, anomaly identification, predictive analysis, control testing, and performance monitoring. The role will also contribute to AML/KYC compliance reviews, transaction monitoring, and digital risk management, while providing regular insights and performance visibility to management at Jazz.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analytics, Visualization & Business Intelligence

·        Writing optimized queries for large-scale transactional data analysis and automated reporting.

·        Performing advanced data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and behavioural trends in digital financial transactions.

·        Developing interactive dashboards and reports using tools for real-time visibility into fraud risk and business performance.

·        Processing and transforming raw data through data aggregation, cleansing, and normalization for analytical use.

·        Performing exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover hidden insights and operational risks.

Data Science, Automation & Technical Development

·        Automating manual processes using Python, .NET, and C# to improve operational efficiency.

·        Developing data pipelines and ETL processes to integrate large volumes of transactional and operational data.

·        Applying statistical techniques and predictive analytics for anomaly detection and fraud pattern recognition.

·        Building rule-based and machine learning models for fraud detection and monitoring.

·        Performing feature engineering, data validation, and preprocessing to prepare datasets for analytics and modeling.

·        Integrating multiple internal and external data sources to enable centralized fraud intelligence.

·        Optimizing database performance and complex SQL queries for high-volume fintech environments.

Fraud Risk Analytics & Investigation

·        Conducting fraud risk analysis across digital financial services to identify emerging threats.

·        Designing and implementing fraud detection rules within Business Assurance platforms.

·        Performing fraud investigations and root cause analysis to identify vulnerabilities.

·        Analyzing payment gateway and digital wallet transactions to detect suspicious activity.

·        Developing risk scoring approaches and fraud detection strategies based on transaction behavior and customer segmentation.

·        Monitoring for social engineering, account takeover, merchant fraud, and transaction manipulation risks.

Controls, Governance & Risk Assurance

·        Monitoring and implementing detective and preventive Business Assurance controls.

·        Performing financial and transaction reconciliations across multiple systems to ensure data integrity.

·        Reviewing processes to ensure strong preventive control implementation.

·        Conducting risk assessments for new fintech products and services before and after launch.

·        Supporting policy and procedure enhancements to mitigate fraud risk and revenue leakage.

·        Documenting Mobile Financial Services (MFS) controls, risks, and threat scenarios.

·        Driving process improvements and data governance initiatives across teams.

Requirements

Key Skills & Competencies

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT/Business.

·       3+ years’ experience in automation, databases, reporting, system integrations, and project management.

·       Knowledge of MFS platforms, transaction flows, charging systems, and revenue assurance.

·       Skilled in designing prevention frameworks and improving business processes.

·       Able to work independently or in a team, thriving in fast-paced, data-driven environments.

·       Strong attention to detail, ownership, and a proactive, curious mindset

·       Excellent communication and presentation skills, with high ethics, integrity, and respect for confidentiality.
