What is Expert Channel Planning & Strategy?
The role reports directly to the Manager Channel Strategy & Planning with an extended team of 10 members
What does Expert Channel Planning & Strategy do?
First 30 Days;
- Understanding the role of sales team and sales channel, which include Retail, Franchise, Business Centers, Sales & Distribution Supervisor, and Area Managers.
- Develop an understanding of the Indirect Sales Channel, working environment, Channel strategy, and planning
- Develop an understanding of Business Cases and campaign designing
- Establish a good relationship with relevant department teams e.g. Finance, Sales, Operations, Sales Channel, Marketing and DFS Team
- Understand how to forecast the market potential of different regions and do target distribution
Next 30 days;
- Design Business case for monthly channel promotions
- Managing Sales Commission budget and planning.
- Develop thorough Indirect Sales understanding & help generate ideas that further build channel planning in line with a strategic growth plan
- Work on market study and come up with ideas and strategies to drive the business needs & requirements.
- Develop a plan for channel expansions e.g. Distribution officer Rationalization, Numeric distribution, enablers analysis
- Gain a deep understanding of the competitor’s strategy & work and proactively propose countermeasures
Within 90 days and onwards;
- Build understanding of designing lucrative Channel Promos & regular Post Promo Analysis for continues improvements
- Have a complete Data analysis inferred from promo reports
- Managing channel strategy and KPIs
- KPIs Target Setting
- Troubleshooting Channel Queries regarding channel strategy & planning
- Analysis of franchises’ profitability and devise strategy to maximize growth
- KPIs target setting
- Strategies to increase growth via channel
- Policies to continuously align channel strategy according to marketing and corporate strategy
Requirements
Experience and Educational requirements;
- Making strategies to grow business
- Analysis using MS Excel
- Forecasting using business analytics
- Preferable MBA with more than 3 years experience in planning and strategy
Soft skills and technical skills required;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of MS Power Point, MS Excel
- Knowledge of on ground sales tools and effective utilization of sales tools.
- Analytical skills and ability to effectively design analytical models for forecasting
