EXPERT DATA PRIVACY (TEMPORARY – 6 MONTHS)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and execution-focused Data Privacy professional to support the Privacy Office on a 6-month contractual basis. The primary focus of this role will be to drive contract reviews from a data protection perspective and support the evaluation and procurement of Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in privacy governance, vendor management, and contract review, with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and ensure timely delivery against defined timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Privacy Documentation & Risk Management

Assist in developing and maintaining privacy-related documentation, including DPIAs, privacy notices, risk registers, and Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs).
Perform privacy risk assessments in line with Group guidelines; escalate findings for management review within defined timelines.

Maintain vendor and third-party inventory with a focus on privacy-enhancing technology providers, ensuring due diligence documentation is complete.

Operational Support

Support end-to-end coordination with vendors for the evaluation, procurement, and onboarding of privacy-enhancing solutions, ensuring adherence to internal procurement and security processes.

Manage vendor engagement throughout the procurement lifecycle, including requirement gathering, RFI/RFP coordination, technical clarifications, and evaluation support.

Assist in handling customer grievances and data subject requests under supervision.

Contracts & Legal Support

Lead first-level review of contracts from a data protection perspective, including Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), NDAs, and privacy clauses, ensuring turnaround within defined SLAs (standard reviews within 3–5 working days).


Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to negotiate and incorporate data protection requirements, ensuring minimal delays in contract finalization.

Track contract review cycles, identify bottlenecks, and proactively escalate delays impacting procurement or onboarding timelines.


Provide first-line support to internal teams on privacy and contract-related queries; escalate legal interpretations to the Line Manager/DPO.

Regulatory & Governance Support

Support Line Manager/DPO in governance reporting, audits, and internal compliance reviews.

Monitor developments in privacy regulations and update the Privacy Office on changes, particularly impacting vendor onboarding and contractual controls.

Potentially support DPO responsibilities for specific products or entities, subject to prior approval and alignment with the designated Jazz World DPO and HR.

Track regulatory developments across Pakistan, GCC, and MENA, escalating relevant changes impacting compliance obligations.

Requirements

Key Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, IT, or a related field.

·         2–5 years of experience in data privacy, information security, legal, or compliance roles.

·         Strong understanding of data protection principles (GDPR or equivalent frameworks preferred).

·         Experience in contract review (DPAs, NDAs, vendor agreements) from a privacy perspective.

·         Exposure to vendor management and procurement processes (RFI/RFP lifecycle).

·         Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.

·         Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, ISO 27701, or equivalent.

·         Experience working in telecom, fintech, or regulated environments.

·         Exposure to Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) or data governance tools.

·         Timely review and closure of privacy-related contract reviews within SLA.

·         Effective coordination and progression of PET procurement lifecycle.

·         Strong stakeholder alignment and minimal delays in onboarding privacy-compliant solutions.
