What does 'Stream Head/Head - International Tax’ do?
- · As member of the Group Tax Team, the Senior Manager International Tax provides input and support to global tax initiatives.
- · Provide high quality tax expertise to regional in-house tax managers including permanent education and support regarding international tax issues and developments.
- · Monitor that activities of regional in-house tax managers comply to (international) tax laws and regulations as well as to VEON’s internal Code of Conduct
- · Initiate, review, support, monitor, pre-approve and/or execute regional tax planning initiatives, tax litigation and M&A activity
- · Oversee, undertake and arrange (external) Regional Corporate Income Tax Compliance
- · Provide support to the Senior Manager Tax Accounting & Assurance in executing all SOX testing, and/or other relevant compliance testing processes
- · At each Q-2 and Q-4 closing review the Uncertain Tax Positions (UTP-memo’s) of the region
- · Assist with preparation and analyzing the Country-by-Country reporting for the region
- · Provide support to Manager Transfer Pricing in assisting with correct implementation and maintaining of transfer pricing guidelines
- · Be actively involved in monitoring and managing tax risks for the group and locally

Requirements
- · At least 8 years of experience as a Tax Manager (preferably largely in-house)
- · Strong managerial and personal skills to build relationships and organize the work
- · Seniority to lead complex discussions, with a drive to achieve the result without losing commitment from others
- · Strong experience of working in lateral teams with different experts and different cultural backgrounds
- · Strong knowledge of international tax regulations and good knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
- · Equivalent of Master degree in economics or tax law
- · Good English language skills
- · Preferably relevant experience in the telco industry
