What is Expert Enterprise Risk?
This position identifies potential threats, uncertainties and risks perceived by the organization, develops methodologies to effectively manage existing/potential key risks complying with VEON’s risk appetite framework and reporting standards and creates a risk awareness culture within Jazz.
The role directly reports to Head of Internal Controls & Risk Management.
What Expert Enterprise Risk does?
- Works with the organization to develop a risk register for the organization based on principles established by the group.
- Corresponds with management to assess operational/executional parameters taken to mitigate the overall impact of incorporated risks.
- Along with the Planning team, evaluates the implications of a particular risk on financial statements and KPIs of the organization.
- Works with Planning team to develop risks to business plan and annual budget achievement and related mitigating actions planned by the management. Tracks these risks and mitigants during the year and reports to management and risk owners periodically.
- Develops the heat map for top 10 risks and mitigating actions based on risk assessment and reports them periodically at various internal forums.
- Develops a detailed report on Enterprise Risk Management entailing a summary of the heat map and impact of top key risk factors/threats challenging the business.
- Monitors key strategic projects of the company to evaluate potential risks and watch outs and documents these for regular follow up.
- Gathers updates on these projects on continuous basis to gauge the strategic impact on business objectives.
- Works with regulatory team to develop the risk emanating from regulatory environment of the organization as per the existing governance and operational framework or changes in laws defined by the government. Reports the findings and monitors agreed action plan.
- Works with legal team to evaluate the risks related to global sanctions and implications for the organization and its stakeholders and business partners. Reports the findings and monitors agreed action plan.
- Works with compliance team to evaluate the risks emanating from the compliance framework of the organization and related mitigating actions. Reports the findings and monitors agreed action plan.
- Along with Head of Controls and Risk Management, acts as custodian of Business Risk Committee meetings, including preparation of working materials, issuing minutes, follow up on action items and maintaining archives.

Requirements
- Bachelors/Masters in a relevant field with at least 3-6 years of experience in Planning, Business and Operational Risk or Commercial.
- Understanding of the telecommunications and digital sectors will be a great advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Finance, Economics & Commercial Practices.
- Detailed knowledge of Reporting & Analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of Global ERM Best Practices is preferred.
- Demonstrated Stakeholder Management and very strong communication Skills (Written, Verbal & Presentation).
