What is a Senior Analytics Engineer IT/DWH infrastructure Specialist

We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, truthful, innovative, collaborative, and customer-focused, demonstrating these abilities through prior experience.

This role requires relevant expertise in IT infrastructure, Linux command-line operations, and server management. You will be part of a diverse Data Warehouse (DWH) function, working with cutting-edge technology across multiple projects while reporting directly to the Practice Lead.

What does an Intermediate Analytics Engineer do?

• Identify and implement improvements in IT infrastructure and server management to enhance data analytics operations.
• Manage and optimize Linux-based environments, ensuring high availability and performance of critical systems.
• Oversee server configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain system stability.
• Provide operational support, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure seamless data processing.
• Automate processes to enhance system efficiency, security, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Development, and Program Management, to ensure IT infrastructure supports data-driven decision-making.
• Maintain robust security measures, backup protocols, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous process improvements.
• Ensuring Security & Compliance Analyst
• Design, implement, and maintain Data Warehouse (DWH) infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage server configurations, storage, and networking to optimize DWH operations.
• Work closely with system administrators to optimize hardware and software resources.
• Implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) strategies for DWH environments.
• Ensure data security, access control, and compliance with industry standards.
• Oversee data replication, backup, and restoration processes to maintain data integrity.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and scalability to plan for future growth.
• Optimize infrastructure components such as compute, storage, and networking to support analytical workloads.
• Collaborate with cloud teams for hybrid/cloud-based DWH infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure proactive identification of performance issues.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance DWH infrastructure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Support and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, Linux systems, or server management.
• Bachelors in Computer Science / Software Engineering /Computer Engineering Masters will be a plus
• Hands-on expertise in Linux command-line operations, scripting, and server optimization.
• Strong understanding of networking, system security, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting to automate system processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with DevOps and automation tools for system deployment and monitoring.
• Ability to troubleshoot system failures, analyze logs, and optimize server performance.
• Experience working in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot DWH and infrastructure-related issues.
