What is Expert Tax compliance?

This position is to ensure end-to-end sales tax compliance for telecom operations including accurate reporting of revenue streams, timely filing of returns, preparation of underlying workings and developing reports for tax related matters for the team as well as internal departments at Jazz. The role also focuses on managing tax risks and ensuring data availability on tax portals for input tax adjustments. The role not only supports day-to-day compliance activities but also contributes to minimizing tax risks, ensuring regulatory adherence, and providing reliable tax information to internal/external stakeholders for decision-making.

The role reports directly to the Manager Tax and has no one reporting directly into it with an extended team of 13 team members.

What does Expert Tax Compliance do?

• Prepare and submit monthly sales tax returns for: FBR, SRB, PRA, KPRA, BRA & AJK
• Manage and compliance   of Single Sales Tax return (FBR IRIS portal), including data extraction, analysis, and sales Tax payment processing.
• Strong grip on Telecom taxation and multi-jurisdictional tax handling
• Monitor tax portals (SSTR, IRIS, SRB, PRA, etc.)
• Ensure accurate reporting of telecom revenue streams.
• Record and process tax invoices accurately in the system.
• Maintain and update tax payment records for effective tracking and reconciliation.
• Ensure alignment with customer-level data (e.g., B2B / corporate clients)
• Handle tax issues related to inactive vendors / blocked NTN / suspended status
• Ensure tax admissibility and identify risks of time-barred adjustments
• Support in tax planning and optimization within legal framework
• Issue and manage STWHT certificates for vendors and Annex C for customers.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the reporting manager to support departmental objectives

Requirements

Experience and Educational requirements

• Part qualified CA, ACCA/MBA/CMA ,14 years education in Accounts and Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Preferably in telecom sector or large corporates
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Stakeholder management & Analytical skills.
• Telecom taxation and multi-jurisdictional tax handling
• In dept knowledge of withholding tax rules
• Oracle
• Windows OS and MS Office
