What is a Manager Trade Marketing?

Manager Trade Marketing plays a pivotal role in driving brand visibility and sales performance across retail and agent networks. This role focuses on translating marketing strategies into impactful, on-ground trade executions that support the brand’s commercial goals. By managing retail-level visibility, giveaways, vendor coordination, and nationwide activations, the Manager Trade Marketing ensures a consistent and compelling brand presence in the market.

This position requires close collaboration with sales, marketing, procurement, and external vendors to deliver seamless trade initiatives—from in-store and out-store branding, and BTL activities to promotional rollouts and festive campaigns. The ultimate goal is to strengthen the brand’s footprint, optimize trade engagement, and drive sustainable growth through executional excellence and cross-functional alignment.

This role is part of the JazzCash team and reports directly to the Stream Head of Operations & Trade Marketing.

What does Manager Trade Marketing do?

Key Responsibilities

·       Trade Marketing Planning & Execution

o   Develop and implement the Trade Marketing Plan aligned with sales and marketing objectives.

o   Manage the trade marketing budget efficiently to deliver ROI-driven outcomes.

·       Retail Campaign Management

o   Lead channel-specific marketing strategies for assigned retailers.

o   Improve campaign execution through best-in-class in-store planning and tracking.

o   Execute trade promotions and impactful in-store campaigns in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.

·       Brand Visibility & Retail Engagement

o   Lead activation programs with partners to improve brand visibility.

o   Regularly visit POS locations to ensure brand guidelines and visibility standards are met.

o   Enhance trade visibility nationwide through effective deployment of POSM materials in close coordination with brand and product teams.

·       BTL Execution & Giveaways Management

o   Oversee nationwide BTL giveaway processes, including procurement, inventory management, and monthly regional/HQ distribution.

·       Festivities & Celebration Planning

o   Create and execute an annual retail festivity calendar in collaboration with regional and HQ teams for timely and coordinated execution.

·       Event & Conference Management

o   Coordinate sales conferences, strategy sessions, SITs, and award ceremonies.

o   Manage vendor collaboration for logistics, planning, and execution of internal events.

·       Vendor Management & Procurement Coordination

o   Lead end-to-end vendor management for trade marketing activities, including evaluation, coordination, and performance tracking.

o   Liaise with the Procurement team to ensure timely onboarding and compliance of vendors required for trade marketing and activation projects.

·       Cross-functional Project Coordination

o   Plan and execute trade projects with internal departments including FP&A, Procurement, Compliance, and other relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

·       Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.

·       Prior experience in trade marketing or a similar role.

·       Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

·       Proven ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders in matrix organizations.
