What is Stream Head of Finance Process Excellence & Data Governance?
Stream Head - Finance Processes Excellence & Data Governance is responsible for leading and optimizing finance processes, ensuring data governance, and leveraging business intelligence and data analytics to drive strategic decision-making. This role involves overseeing process reviews, benchmarking, optimization, master data governance, exploring & implementing business intelligence, data science, and Oracle data analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Transformation & Process Excellence
- Support in developing, and execute finance transformation roadmaps to optimize finance processes, reporting, and controls.
- Conduct process reviews, benchmark against industry standards/best practices to eliminate inefficiencies, improving reporting and/or controls, drive standardization etc
- Evaluate Oracle Fusion and other systems, where applicable, to automate and/or optimize finance processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, with specific focus on SBU needs.
Data Governance & Analytics
- Oversee master data governance to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Utilize business intelligence tools to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Introduce and apply data science techniques to analyze financial data and identify trends.
- Manage Oracle data analytics to support finance operations and reporting.
Stakeholders Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, IT and Business stakeholders, ensuring effective governance, tracking, communication and adoption of transformation initiatives
- Act as a change agent within & outside finance w.r.t. finance process optimization
- Create appropriate reporting & escalation forum(s) for regular updates on the overall roadmap and progress status
Requirements
- A professional accounting qualification or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Sciences.
- 5-7 years of specific experience in finance system or process optimization and data governance. Lean Six Sigma Prectitioner (black belt) will be preferred
- Experience with Oracle & other business intelligence tools and data analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
