What is an Expert BI Analyst?

We are looking for someone who has previously worked in the field of Analytics and can bring value to the Data Analytics team at Jazz by benefitting from previous engagements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in BI tools, data modelling, and dashboard/report development, with a strong ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.

You will be joining a team of diverse DWH functions with state of art technology stack with various project teams and will be reporting directly to BI Practice Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using leading BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, Qlik, etc.).
• Lead MicroStrategy and Tableau upgrades to the latest versions, including configuration, migration, and platform administration
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical BI requirements.
• Design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports across BI platforms.
• Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards for performance and usability.
• Perform data modelling (dimensional & relational), create semantic layers, and optimize query performance.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across BI solutions.
• Support self-service analytics adoption by building reusable datasets, metrics, and reports.
• Implement best practices in BI design, performance tuning, and security.
• Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure seamless ETL/ELT pipeline integration.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Stay updated with the latest AI + BI and cloud analytics trends to recommend enhancements; leverage capabilities such as Tableau Next, MicroStrategy Mosaic, and Power BI AI.
• Work in a consulting environment, supporting client analytics needs through project-based delivery or staff augmentation.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, Qlik)
• Experience in cloud BI platforms
• understanding of cloud-native data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong understanding of data modelling techniques (Star, Snowflake,).
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and data validation.
• Experience working with data warehouse (e.g., Teradata, Snowflake, Oracle,).
• Experience working with large datasets and data warehouses (e.g. Teradata, Oracle, IBM).
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and integration with BI tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy) are a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
