What is Specialist Business Analyst– InsurTech and HealthTech?
This role is responsible for analyzing insurance processes, extracting actionable insights from data, and recommending improvements that drive product innovation, claims efficiency, customer experience, and overall business growth. In addition, the role will oversee business operations and contribute to continuous product enhancement.
What does Specialist Business Analyst– InsurTech and HealthTech do?
- Perform data analysis on customer journeys, claims, and product performance to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Convert raw data into dashboards, reports, and actionable business insights.
- Collaborate with product and tech teams to define data-driven business solutions.
- Build KPIs, metrics, and performance reports for insurance policies, claims, renewals, and user behavior.
- Conduct gap analysis to improve processes like policy issuance, claims turnaround, and customer support.
- Use data to drive customer segmentation, product recommendation, and risk analysis.
- Support in UAT by validating data flows and business rules.
- Ensure all solutions comply with insurance and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with insurance partners, tech, and marketing teams to ensure smooth product operations.
- Contribute to product lifecycle management pricing, reporting, customer feedback, and performance tracking.
- Execute performance marketing campaigns.
- Assist in preparing dashboards, and reports for management review.

Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Specialist Business Analyst– InsurTech and HealthTech?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Data Science, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst, ideally in insurance, fintech, or healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of insurance operations (health, life, micro, takaful).
- Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Experience with data cleaning, trend analysis, and predictive insights.
- Strong knowledge of business requirement documentation (BRD/FRD).
- Excellent problem solving and storytelling skills to convert data into actionable insights.
- Ability to work with cross functional teams (product, tech, insurance partners, regulators).
- Experience in InsurTech / HealthTech / Digital Banking.
- Familiarity with API integrations, insurance data models, and digital claims systems.
- Knowledge of AI/ML-driven personalization and risk scoring (a plus).
- Ability to design data dashboards for leadership and regulatory reporting.
