What is Cloud Business Analyst?

Garaj is seeking a Business Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across its cloud platform, GTM, and commercial operations. This role focuses on analysis, reporting, and insights generation, helping leadership and functional teams track performance, identify opportunities, and improve execution.

This is an entry-to-early career role ideal for someone with strong analytical skills who wants exposure to cloud business models, monetization, and enterprise technology markets.

 What does Cloud Business Analyst do?

Business & Performance Analysis

• Collect, clean, and analyze data related to revenue, pipeline, consumption, pricing, and customer segments.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance trackers for leadership and functional teams.
• Track KPIs such as MRR, ARR, churn, utilization, and margins.
• Support monthly and quarterly business reviews with structured insights.

Market & Competitive Research

• Conduct research on competitors, pricing models, and market trends.
• Support TAM / SAM / SOM analysis and opportunity sizing.
• Compile customer and market insights into structured briefs and presentations.
• Track regulatory or industry developments impacting cloud and data hosting.

Process & Documentation

• Support documentation of business processes, workflows, and operating models.
• Help standardize templates for reports, presentations, and analysis.
• Assist in defining and tracking KPIs across teams.
• Maintain data accuracy and version control across shared business artifacts.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 0–2 years of experience in business analysis, analytics, consulting, or related roles
• Exposure to cloud, telecom, IT services, or SaaS.

Analytical and technical skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, basic modeling).
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools is a plus.
• Ability to interpret data and convert it into clear insights and recommendations.

Business & Communication Skills

• Basic understanding of business metrics and financial concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create clear, structured presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

Mindset & Work Ethic

• Curious, structured, and eager to learn.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong ownership of assigned tasks and timelines.
• Willingness to work cross-functionally with sales, presales, finance, and platform teams.
