What is Practice Lead BI – Data Analytics (Teknosys) ?

The Practice Lead – Business Intelligence (BI) is a senior leadership role within the Data Analytics function, responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-wide BI solutions while leading, mentoring, and scaling high-performing BI teams.

You will work within a dynamic consulting environment, delivering end-to-end analytics and BI solutions for a diverse portfolio of internal and external clients across telecom, finance, and other industry sectors. This role requires strong technical depth, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable, high-impact BI solutions.

In addition to technical leadership, you will oversee team performance, talent development, hiring, coaching, and resource planning, ensuring the BI practice continues to grow in capability, quality, and impact. You will foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous learning, and delivery excellence.

You will collaborate closely with BI developers, data engineers, solution architects, and business stakeholders in a modern analytics ecosystem, ensuring excellence in delivery, governance, innovation, client satisfaction, and people development.

What does Practice Lead BI – Data Analytics (Teknosys ) do?

·       Responsible for leading end-to-end business analysis to translate strategic objectives into scalable analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making and measurable business outcomes.

·       Strengthens governance frameworks, enhances performance management, and delivers continuous efficiency improvements in close partnership with business and technology stakeholders.

·       Lead and grow the BI practice, managing teams, delivery standards, and capability development

·       Own end-to-end BI delivery across analysis, design, build, integration, and rollout

·       Design and deliver enterprise dashboards, KPI frameworks, and analytics solutions

·       Act as a trusted advisor to clients and leadership, managing expectations and driving measurable outcomes

·       Define and enforce BI governance, visualization standards, and best practices

·       Support teams in building wireframes and beta dashboards, iterating based on stakeholder feedback

·       Lead BI platform strategy, upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives

·       Manage BI platform operations including performance and usability monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement

·       Drive performance optimization, platform stability (99.9% uptime), and security controls, including administration of users, groups, permissions, publishing governance, and subscriptions/alerts

·       Support the design of scalable semantic layers and data models to enable trusted, self-service analytics

·       Partner with data engineering teams on ETL/ELT pipelines and optimized SQL development

·       Promote self-service BI adoption through reusable datasets and governed metrics

·       Stay ahead of AI + BI innovations (e.g., Tableau Next, MicroStrategy Mosaic, Power BI AI) and recommend proactive platform enhancements

·       Deliver projects across onshore and offshore models, with flexibility to travel for client engagements

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Practice Lead BI – Data Analytics (Teknosys ) ?

Requirements:

·       10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or related consulting roles

·       Proven experience in a BI Practice Lead, BI Manager, or Senior BI Leadership role

·       Lead requirements gathering with clients, stakeholders, and product owners, translating needs into a prioritized analytics backlog

·       Strong hands-on expertise with Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, and Qlik

·       Advanced SQL skills with a strong foundation in BI development

·       Solid background in enterprise BI architecture, data modeling, and governance

·       Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

·       Strong client-focus with the agility to quickly understand new industry domains (Telecom, Finance, Retail, etc.)

·       Strong time management and prioritization skills across multiple client engagements

·       Strong communication and presentation skills

·       Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

·       Ability to make data-driven decisions

·       Professional certifications in the analytics are highly preferred

Education

·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. (Master’s degree is a plus).
