What is a Regional Business Development Head- JazzCash?
The Regional Business Development Head is a pivotal senior leadership position tasked with driving the strategic direction, growth, and operational execution of JazzCash’s retail and enterprise business across the designated region. This role entails end-to-end responsibility for market expansion, payments ecosystem development, and team leadership. The incumbent will lead and manage Business Development Managers and Enterprise Relationship Managers, with a strong focus on market penetration, customer acquisition, merchant enablement, and supplier payments.
What does Regional Business Development Head- JazzCash do?
Strategic Leadership & Vision:
- Design and implement a region-specific business development strategy aligned with JazzCash’s overall strategy and goals.
- Identify high-potential market segments, devise actionable plans, and execute targeted initiatives to capture market share.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage retail and enterprise business development teams, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the team, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and individual targets.
Market Expansion & Penetration:
- Develop an end-to-end on-ground payments ecosystem driven by JazzCash mobile wallet & Raast enabled merchants, with a strong network of payment acceptance points and supplier payments.
- Manage on-ground drives to customers’ engagement through trade initiatives, agents, and merchant channel.
- Drive the agent channel to ensure cash-in and cash-out servicing for the JazzCash mobile wallet base in the respective region.
- Create a supplier payments ecosystem by onboarding local distributors and enabling merchants for supplier payments.
- Spearhead efforts to increase the company's market presence and penetration in the remote area.
- Conduct detailed market research and analysis to identify gaps, assess potential, and implement targeted strategies.
Relationship Building & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, local partners, clients, and industry influencers.
- Represent the company at local events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance business visibility and forge new partnerships.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Oversee the tracking and reporting of sales performance metrics for the remote area, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Training & Development:
- Identify skill gaps and training needs within the on-ground team and implement development programs to enhance their effectiveness.
- Facilitate ongoing learning and professional growth opportunities for team members.
Operational Excellence & Compliance:
- Ensure that all business development activities adhere to industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Streamline processes and improve operational efficiency to support effective business development.

Requirements

Education & Experience:
· Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in business development or sales leadership.
· Strong background in leading teams in field operations, particularly in underdeveloped or rural markets.
