What is Expert M&A and Digital Projects?

Expert M&A and Digital Projects is tax and accounting POC for all M&A and digital projects of the Company. This position is responsible for conducting detailed tax and accounting assessment of Projects, identify tax and accounting implications and propose efficient transaction structure accordingly.

The role reports directly to the Manager M&A and Digital Projects and has no people reporting directly into it with an extended team of 10+ team members.

What does Expert M&A and Digital Projects?

• Project Support: Act as the Finance Point of Contact (POC) for all M&A and Digital Projects under the guidance of the Manager, providing essential financial support and expertise.
• Financial Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of Projects to determine their tax and accounting implications, assisting in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Structural Proposals: Assist in proposing tax and accounting efficient structures for Projects to optimize financial outcomes.
• Business Case Inputs: Collaborate closely with end users and the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, providing valuable financial insights and data to contribute to the development of business cases for new Projects.
• Advisor Onboarding Support: Support the onboarding and coordination of financial advisors and consultants, assisting in financial analysis and structural assessments for Projects.
• Due Diligence Assistance: Aid in the tax and accounting due diligence process for newly acquired assets/entities, facilitating communication with external consultants as required.
• HQ Liaison: Work closely with the HQ tax and accounting teams, under the Manager's guidance, to align project-related financial matters with corporate standards and policies.
• Auditor Collaboration: Assist in coordinating with external auditors to address tax and accounting implications associated with new projects, providing documentation and support as needed.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Expert M&A and Digital Projects?

• Part Qualified/ Qualified CA or ACCA.
• 4-5 years of experience. Telecom sector experience will be preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication.

• Advanced Power Point skills.
• Stakeholder management.
• Analytical skills.
• In depth knowledge of IFRS and Tax laws applicable in Pakistan.
• Oracle (R12).
• Windows OS and MS Office.
