What is a Manager UI/UX Design?

The Manager UI/UX Design plays a strategic lead role in shaping the user experience across JazzCash's digital ecosystem. This role is responsible for designing and delivering intuitive, engaging, and effective user interfaces, as well as optimizing digital journeys across web and mobile platforms.

Reporting directly to the Head of Products, DFS – JazzCash, this position may include people management responsibilities and requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Business stakeholders.

 

As a design lead, you will:

·       Drive the end-to-end UX and UI design process for both new and existing products.

·       Champion user-centred design methodologies to ensure the creation of seamless and inclusive digital experiences.

·       Lead and mentor a team of designers to uphold design excellence and consistency.

·       Own and evolve JazzCash’s Design System to ensure scalability and brand alignment across all platforms.

·       Establish and maintain UI/UX standards, ensuring compliance with design guidelines, accessibility, and best practices.

·       Analyze user data, conduct usability testing, and translate findings into actionable design improvements.

·       This is a Manager-level role requiring strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on expertise in UI/UX design, particularly within the Telecommunications and Fintech sectors. You must have a track record of building scalable design systems and delivering impactful experiences in high-growth, fast-paced environments.

 

What does Manager UI/UX Design do?

·       Lead end-to-end design process from research, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to high-fidelity UI design.

·       Collaborate with product managers, developers, marketing, and customer insights teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.

·       After user research and usability testing you can easily iterate on product designs.

·       Define and maintain JazzCash’s Design System and ensure consistency across all platforms.

·       Translate concepts into user flows, journey maps, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.

·       Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions in the context of fintech, such as payments, billers, top-ups, lending, etc.

·       Lead and mentor a small team of UX/UI designers to build a culture of design excellence.

·       Present and justify design decisions to stakeholders and senior leadership.

·       Stay up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.

 

·       Understand, mold, shape, and improve the UI and UX across our digital platform, including the design of user journeys and applying insights from usability studies.

·       Integrate global best practices into applications, channels, and tools.

·       Collaborate with different teams (Products, Technology & Business) to discuss, generate ideas, and assess user requirements for designing and developing all digital designs and experiences.

·       Successfully implement user-focused improvements to digital products and services within specified timelines and established standards.

·       Present and report on design and research methodologies, effectively advocating your solutions to diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be a Manager UI/UX Design?

•    Bachelor’s degree (Computer Sciences, Data Science, Data Management or in a related field.)

•    Demonstrable UI/UX design of embedding user-centred design processes and practices.

•    Demonstrable UI/UX design of the application of user-centred design and design language system principles in product design and enhancements.

•    At least 6-7 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in fintech or banking industry.

•    Exceptional design, collaboration, and communication skills.

•    Superb analytical and reporting skills.

•    Up-to-date knowledge of new design techniques and website layouts.

•    Proficiency to use Figma, Sketch, Miro, Adobe CC suite and MS Office.

•    Experience with creating animations for mobile app and website is considered as plus.
