What is Lead Corporate Communications?
The Stream Head Communication role is a key driver of strategic messaging, media engagement, and brand positioning, ensuring that external and internal communication efforts align with the company’s corporate objectives. Beyond content creation, this role plays a critical part in shaping industry thought leadership—leveraging media engagements, conferences, and strategic forums to position the company as a leading voice in digital transformation, financial inclusion, and policy advocacy.
Reporting directly to the Head of Communications, the Stream Head Communication works within the larger Customer Experience division, collaborating cross-functionally with leadership, regulatory affairs, and external partners to ensure impactful communication strategies.
What does Lead Corporate Communications do?
- Strategic Thought Leadership: Position the company as an authority in key industry conversations by securing speaking opportunities at conferences, panels, and policy discussions.
- Media & Public Relations: Develop and execute proactive media outreach strategies, maintaining strong relationships with journalists, analysts, and key opinion leaders.
- Industry Advocacy & Narrative Building: Ensure corporate messaging reflects policy priorities and emerging trends while shaping narratives that influence public discourse.
- Reputation & Crisis Management: Monitor emerging issues, formulate strategic responses, and safeguard the company’s brand from reputational risks.
- Policy Communication & Engagement: Work closely with internal teams to frame corporate priorities in alignment with national policy objectives and regulatory developments.
- Content Development & Multimedia Storytelling: Craft press releases, op-eds, presentations, and visual content for external channels, ensuring consistency with the company’s thought leadership strategy.
- Data-Driven Communications: Establish analytics frameworks to assess communication impact across media, conferences, and external engagements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with leadership, external agencies, and regulatory bodies to amplify industry influence and reinforce strategic partnerships.
- Internal Communications: Support employee engagement through newsletters, internal updates, and communication campaigns.

Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Lead Corporate Communications?
- A degree in Journalism, Media, Communication, PR, Business Management, or a related field.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in strategic communication, external advocacy, or media relations, with a proven track record of managing thought leadership campaigns.
- Expertise in digital communications, video editing, graphics editing, and social media strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess reputational risks and respond proactively.
- Exceptional storytelling skills, both written and visual, with a focus on positioning executives and the company in high-profile industry discussions.
- Experience managing external communications across traditional media, digital platforms, and industry events.
- A proactive, creative, and collaborative approach—both in ideation and execution.
