What is ‘Expert – E-commerce Operations’?
Expert – E-commerce Operations will own the operational performance of the ZARR marketplace across the website and backend systems. This role will manage the end-to-end e-commerce lifecycle including catalog management, website merchandising, campaign execution, order operations, and partner coordination.
The role requires strong experience with Shopify (preferably Shopify Plus) and a deep understanding of e-commerce workflows to ensure the platform operates efficiently, products are merchandised effectively, and operational processes support strong customer experience and revenue growth.
You will work closely with Growth, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure that product discovery, catalog health, campaign execution, and operational workflows contribute to improved conversion, customer experience, and GMV performance.
What does ‘Expert – E-commerce Operations’ do?
Website & Platform Operations
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the ZARR website (Shopify / Shopify Plus) ensuring platform stability and seamless customer experience.
• Maintain homepage merchandising, collections, navigation, and campaign placements to maximize product discovery and conversion.
• Monitor website functionality across web and mobile including product pages, collections, filters, and navigation.
• Coordinate with Product and Tech teams to resolve bugs, implement feature improvements, and support platform enhancements.
• Ensure operational readiness for key campaigns, seasonal events, and product launches.
Catalog & Product Operations
• Own catalog health across the platform including product listings, pricing accuracy, inventory availability, and product attributes.
• Manage product uploads, updates, and categorization to ensure strong product discoverability and merchandising quality.
• Monitor catalog issues such as missing images, incorrect pricing, out-of-stock products, and incomplete product data.
• Support onboarding of new brands and ensure seamless integration of their catalogs into the marketplace.
• Ensure catalog accuracy to support customer trust, product discovery, and conversion performance.
Campaign & Merchandising Execution
• Execute campaign merchandising across homepage, collections, and promotional placements.
• Coordinate with marketing teams to deploy campaign creatives, landing pages, and promotional setups accurately.
• Support execution of seasonal campaigns, sale events, and brand launches within Shopify.
• Monitor campaign execution and ensure products, discounts, and merchandising placements function correctly.
• Optimize merchandising placements to improve product visibility, traffic monetization, and conversion rates.
Order & Fulfilment Operations
• Monitor order flows and ensures smooth order processing through the order management system.
• Track operational KPIs include order processing time, cancellations, fulfilment delays, and dispatch performance.
• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to resolve order exceptions and operational issues.
• Support improvements in order lifecycle processes to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Brand & Partner Coordination
• Act as operational point of contact for marketplace brand partners.
• Support brands with catalog uploads, inventory updates, promotions setup, and operational queries.
• Ensure partner compliance with marketplace operational standards including dispatch timelines and product quality.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve brand-related operational challenges and improve partner performance.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
• Monitor key platform metrics including traffic, product views, conversion rate, and product performance.
• Work closely with analytics and growth teams to identify operational opportunities to improve product discovery and conversion.
• Support analysis of merchandising performance and product-level trends to inform optimization decisions.
• Contribute operational insights that support overall GMV growth and marketplace performance.

Requirements
Qualification & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or a related field.
• 3–4+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, preferably within marketplace or fashion retail environments.
• Hands-on experience managing websites on Shopify or Shopify Plus.
• Strong understanding of catalog management, website merchandising, and campaign execution.
• Experience working with order management systems, logistics workflows, and fulfilment processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple operational workflows simultaneously.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, operations, and partner teams.
