What is Product Lead VAS & Private Cloud?

We are seeking a talented and proactive Product Lead VAS & Private Cloud to join our dynamic team. In this intermediate-level role, you will be instrumental in bridging traditional network Planning with cutting-edge digital and AI-driven solutions, contributing directly to our network's efficiency, reliability, and future-readiness.

Main tasks include Plan, design and engineer HLR & VAS network in accordance with annual plan and corporate strategy, configuration management, project implementation, capex management, interaction with Internal and external stakeholders and vendor support teams.

The role reports directly to the Manager HLR/VAS Planning & Planning and has 12 people reporting directly into it.

What does Product Lead VAS & Private Cloud do?

• HLR & VAS System Management: Design, plan, maintain, and optimize the HLR, HSS, SMSC, Smart Care /CEM, Private cloud (NFVI), and other Value-Added Services platforms.
• Performance Optimization & Monitoring: Proactively monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal service delivery and availability for HLR & VAS platforms.
• Manage E2E project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery of all milestones with risk mitigation, optimal Capex/Opex utilization, and resource efficiency.
• Manage financial operations, including forecasting, solution finalization, procurement, deployment, capitalization, and invoice processing
• Implement cybersecurity policies on network nodes as per security governance guidelines to protect the network.
• Plan and execute network configuration changes with minimal disruption; ensured seamless integration and rollout activities
• Digitalization Initiatives: Identify opportunities to automate routine operational tasks within HLR & VAS through scripting (e.g., Python, Perl) and automation tools, driving efficiency and reducing manual effort.
• AI/ML Application Support: Assist in the deployment, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting of AI/Machine Learning models used for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, or traffic optimization within the HLR & VAS domains.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Extract and analyze operational data (using SQL/Oracle or similar tools) to generate insights for performance improvements, capacity planning, and identifying areas for digitalization. Prepare comprehensive reports on network health, performance, and the impact of digital initiatives.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes by proposing and implementing digital tools and methodologies.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for network configurations, operational procedures, and digital solution implementations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Network Operations, IT, Product Development, and Customer Support to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Staying Current: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in NFVI Cloud & VAS technologies, digitalization trends, AI/ML applications in telecom, and relevant industry best practices.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Product Lead VAS & Private Cloud - Technology?

We are looking for someone who has already worked for VAS & HLR Planning with hands on experience on SMSC, Private Cloud (NFVI), SMS firewalls and/or HLR/HSS. Must have good configuration and troubleshooting skills. We are also looking for someone who has excellent communication & leadership skills to be able to promote the department and technology portfolio with professionalism, maturity, and a balanced, holistic view of any competing viewpoints and last but not the least, the candidate must be a good team player.

• Proven Cloud/NFVI & VAS Planning Expertise: In-depth knowledge of GSM & Messaging Call Flows, IP Protocols, and Signalling, with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Digitalization & Automation Acumen: Practical experience in process automation/simplification, including scripting with Python, Perl, or JavaScript.
• Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in SQL/Oracle for data extraction and query writing, along with familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Foundational AI/ML Understanding: Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts, particularly their application in network Planning (e.g., predictive analytics, anomaly detection).
• Modern Network Awareness: Familiarity with cloud platforms and virtualization concepts.
• Strong Soft Skills: Demonstrated drive for results, excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex ideas clearly, and a balanced, holistic viewpoint when collaborating.
