What is Stream Head Payments Ecosystem?
This is a growth and ecosystem-building role focused on expanding and strengthening JazzCash’s merchant payments network. Stream Head will be responsible for scaling acceptance channels – from Raast-enabled QR to Tap-to-Pay and supplier payments – and ensuring merchants are acquired, activated, and retained effectively. The role blends market execution with strategic innovation, requiring strong vendor management, ecosystem partnerships, and close coordination with product, technology, and bank teams.
Beyond execution, the Stream Head will introduce new payment modes, design merchant engagement programs, and pioneer adoption of global payment innovations to position JazzCash as the leading digital payments player in Pakistan. What does Stream Head Payments Ecosystem do?
- Own the overall strategy, roadmap, and execution for the merchant payments ecosystem.
- Plan and execute expansion of Raast-enabled QR merchants, NFC/Tap-to-Pay solutions, and supplier payments.
- Build and optimize merchant lifecycle management (onboarding, activation, retention, growth).
- Develop and monitor KPIs, commission structures, and team promos for regional teams.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring QR distribution, hardware deployment, and marketing activations are timely and cost-effective.
- Work with the product team to launch and scale new payment modes, including mobile POS, tokenization, and contactless solutions.
- Drive data-driven decision-making by creating performance dashboards, adoption funnels, and revenue tracking reports.
- Collaborate with regulators, partners, and industry bodies to ensure JazzCash is positioned as a leader in merchant acceptance.
- Design and implement merchant engagement programs, training workshops, and loyalty campaigns to boost stickiness.
- Oversee fraud monitoring, compliance checks, and risk mitigation for merchant transactions.
- Evaluate global fintech trends and pilot innovative payment technologies (biometrics, pay-by-link, embedded finance).
- Coordinate with regional sales heads to ensure seamless execution of merchant acquisition and support processes.
- Build alliances with FMCGs, distributors, and large retail chains to scale supplier payments and embedded financing opportunities.
- Represent JazzCash at industry forums, driving thought leadership on the future of payments.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 6–7 years of experience in merchant payments, fintech, or digital financial services.
- Strong understanding of payment acceptance channels, QR, NFC/Tap Pay, and supplier payments.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management, merchant onboarding, and ecosystem growth.
- Proven ability to plan, execute, and monitor large-scale business operations.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills for cross-functional engagement.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with Raast, digital wallets, and emerging payment technologies.
