What is Expert Innovation & Entrepreneurship?

Responsible for driving Jazz interventions in the innovation and startup eco-system space including championing new projects and initiatives. They manage end-to-end project plan for the startup eco-system and entrepreneurial ventures including taking the lead in developing thought leadership for Jazz in the startup space.

Responsible for working with a cross functional project team to lead operations, execute project deliverables including but not limited to, cohort management, curriculum, community operations, marketing, finance and reporting and partnerships.

They create linkages with key stakeholders in the startup & innovation space to develop brand equity for NIC & Jazz xlr8. They liaison with digital and creative agencies for branding and marketing for ongoing projects. Plan build and design Jazz xlr8 program including bootcamps, curriculum/mentorship sessions, and liaison with internal departments for startup support.

They execute multiple on-going projects including monitoring of project KPI’s in coordination with service delivery partner. Responsible for creating incubation plans, designing and implementing the incubation process and managing project reporting, financial reconciliations and payments.

Responsible for developing a mentor network to support startups in the program. Work with internal teams to identify, scout and work with startups to create commercial opportunities for startups & Jazz.

Identify key communities and create linkages to promote narrative about the startup eco-system

The role reports directly to the Head of Digital Products & Growth.

What does Expert Innovation & Entrepreneurship do?

• Work closely with the service delivery partner to ensure all programme KPI’s are met including regular monitoring and reporting?
• Develop engagement with startups and startup communities across the country to create a steady stream for high growth startups
• Manage project reporting including financial reporting in line with the relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Identify startup needs assessment to launch relevant startup mentorship program with subject matter experts from within the organization.

• Develops, initiates and leads strategic business opportunities with key partners in the startup ecosystem, working with Jazz Business, HR other cross-functional stakeholders as required.
• Evangelize the startup eco-system interventions internally and externally.
• Maintain a regular liaison with relevant government stakeholders in coordination with the internal teams.
• Act as the internal spokesperson for startups at Jazz, facilitating access to JazzCash and other relevant products and services in the Jazz portfolio.
• Develop a roadmap for potential partnerships with startups for value creation for both Jazz and startups.
• Periodically review the startup curriculum for constant improvement based on startup feedback.
• Manage the project budget in line with local project teams.
• Work with the digital agency to create integrated marketing campaigns for various digital channels in this space.
• Regularly organize webinars, events and leadership sessions with Jazz & external leaders.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Expert Innovation & Entrepreneurship?

• Bachelor’s in business/Marketing/Analytics with 5+ years of experience with a focus on project management and entrepreneurship.
• Significant knowledge of the startup industry and its competitive landscape. Experience with marketing incubation centers and startup accelerators or VC’s.
