What is Head of NBD - Structuring and Valuations?

The Jazz New Business Development team is a digital venture building strategic unit that aims to unlock new growth opportunities for Jazz through organic and inorganic development of new strategic business verticals, innovative ideas and solutions. As Head of NBD - Structuring and Valuations, you will play a pivotal role in to deliver  inorganic growth opportunities for Jazz in line with our Service Co ambitions.

The role reports directly to the Vice President of New Business Development & Fintech Future and has atleast 1 full time reportee.

What does Head of NBD - Structuring and Valuations do?

• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, potential areas for expansion, and competitive threats.
• Lead end to end M&A and JV transactions including assessment, business cases, valuation work, deal structuring, due diligence, negotiations, contractual arrangements, regulatory approvals and related matters
• Coordinate, anchor and manage diverse stakeholders including local and group stakeholders.
•  Apart from the details mentioned above for the given role, responsibilities and deliverables will include the following:
• Developing an M&A framework and guiding principles to implement the Service Co ambitions.
• Closely liaising with finance, treasury, tax, legal, and external teams in relation to projects.
• Manage multiple projects and also valuation work in parallel.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with new ventures and initiatives, ensuring that potential challenges are identified and addressed proactively.
• Create compelling data driven presentations that helps drive decision making management, board, and steering committee levels.
• To familiarize and gain technical/ strategic know-how of different business industries and verticals that have strong synergies with Jazz.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Head of NBD - Structuring and Valuations?

• 8 to 10 years of experience in experience (and/or) in telecoms, fintech, software, digital roles of which atleast 4-5 years should have been spent in dedicated M&A lead capacity.
• Proven and demonstrable expertise in assessing and closing M&A and JV deals and transactions;
• Consulting Experience will be a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a willingness to take calculated risks
• Proven track record of success in driving strategic growth initiatives, preferably within the technology sector.
• Well-versed with technology tools

• Analytical & Presentation Skills
