What is the Specialist Frontend Developer?

The Frontend Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining user-facing features for both web and mobile applications. This role focuses on building responsive, high-performance applications using modern frontend technologies such as React.js for web and React Native for mobile apps.

What does the Frontend Developer do?

• Develop and maintain web applications using React.js and mobile applications using React Native
• Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, reusable components for web and mobile platforms
• Integrate APIs and collaborate with backend teams to ensure seamless functionality
• Ensure responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile-first development
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications for performance and scalability
• Follow coding best practices, participate in code reviews, and maintain clean, maintainable code

Key Deliverables:

• Scalable and reusable frontend components for web and mobile apps
• High-quality, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces
• Timely delivery of assigned development tasks and features

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be a Frontend Developer (L1)?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of React.js for web development
• Strong knowledge of React Native for mobile app development
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS
• Familiarity with general frontend frameworks/libraries such as Angular or Vue.js is a plus
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and integration concepts
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Optional: familiarity with TypeScript, Redux, or Next.js
• Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile-first principles

Soft Skills:

• Strong willingness to learn and grow in both web and mobile development
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
