We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to lead the design of end-to-end digital healthcare experiences across multiple platforms and user personas. This role focuses on translating complex clinical, operational, and regulatory workflows into simple, intuitive, and safe user experiences.
The designer will play a key role in supporting Apna Clinic’s migration from partner-led platforms to in-house technology, while ensuring adherence to healthcare usability, accessibility, and safety standards. The role requires close collaboration with Product, Engineering, CX, Operations, and Clinical teams.
What Does a Senior UI/UX Designer – Digital Healthcare Platforms Do?
Healthcare Experience Design (Category-Specific)
Design and own UX for core healthcare verticals, including:
Doctor Consultations
- Appointment booking journeys
- Video/audio consultation flows
- Prescriptions and clinical summaries
- No-show, reschedule, and refund scenarios
Pharmacy
- Medicine search and substitutions
- Prescription upload flows
- Delivery status and compliance messaging
Labs
- Test discovery and selection
- Sample collection scheduling
- Lab report access and interpretation cues
Surgery & Procedures
- High-value booking journeys
- Hospital and package selection
- Offline-to-online handover flows
Multi-Persona Product Design
Design experiences across multiple platforms:
- Consumer Mobile App
- Doctor App
- Admin & Operations Portal
- Partner Dashboards
Ensure role-based clarity, minimal cognitive load, and workflow safety for each persona.
In-House Migration Support
- Study existing partner-driven UX flows
- Identify friction points, gaps, and usability risks
- Redesign workflows optimized for in-house systems
- Maintain design consistency across legacy and new modules
UX Research & Validation (Healthcare Context)
- Conduct usability testing focused on:
- Trust and credibility
- Error prevention
- Clinical clarity
- Collaborate with CX, Operations, and Clinical teams to validate workflows
- Incorporate feedback from doctors, patients, and support teams
Design System Ownership
- Create and maintain Apna Clinic’s Healthcare Design System
- Define and standardize:
- Color usage for health states
- Typography for readability
- Alerts, warnings, and critical notifications
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity across age groups, languages, and health literacy levels
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Product Managers
- Business Analysts
- Engineering teams
- Translate BRDs and operational workflows into high-fidelity, build-ready designs
- Support developers during implementation to ensure design fidelity and usability compliance

Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Senior UI/UX Designer – Digital Healthcare Platforms?
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field
- Healthcare or Health Informatics exposure is a strong plus
Experience
- 5–8 years in UI/UX or Product Design
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Healthcare, HealthTech, or regulated products
- Complex workflow-based systems
- Mobile and web applications
- Experience designing end-to-end systems, not isolated screens
