What is Expert Business Control (HQ)?
Expert Business Control (HQ) is responsible for activities include support in (and at time, independently managing) the budgeting, forecasting, business planning & reporting cycles of HQ entities; supporting business controlling activities for HQ entities; participate in/perform month-end closing activities, managerial reporting on HQ dashboarding tool (Pulse); performing various analysis around balance sheet, cashflow, projects etc.; preparing and submitting business commentaries on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to gauge performance against approved budget, forecast & prior year; performing SOX controls and supporting external/internal audit teams queries.
This position is additionally responsible for HQ Business Travel-related activities, including travel policy compliance, verification of traveler profiles with HR information, etc.
What does Expert Business Control (HQ) do?
Management Reporting
- Review receipting (pre & post-closing) and prepare accruals & correction after alignment with HQ functions and send to R2R for recording.
- Prepare Monthly Flash Report and commentary.
- Prepare Weekly Reporting and commentary.
- Prepare Monthly Actuals Report and commentary. Analyze Project Expenditures, PL, BS and EFCF and provide commentaries vs PY, BUD, PM and Prev.FC.
- Ensure that reported HQ dashboards (Pulse) is consistent to FCCS/PBCS and take corrective action (if needed).
- Prepare ad hoc analysis for management.
- Prepare quarterly management certificates process for HQ entities.
- Prepare SOX control reports required by auditors on half yearly and yearly basis.
Planning and Forecasting
- Collaborate with HQ Director Finance & Administration to prepare internal timelines for forecasting & business planning exercise for HQ functions and other entities.
- Support in/Prepare forecast templates for HQ Functional inputs and get clarification of future spends.
- Consolidate all FC inputs, perform sanity checks and understand underlying developments.
- Assist in preparing a new driver-based consolidated FC model (PL, BS, and CF) through proper inancial modelling; Also prepare financials and dashboards to communicate to top management for review and approval.
- Coordinate and supervise business commentaries for PL, Below EBITDA, BS and CF for each forecast.
- Prepare financial inputs for Working Capital, Below EBITDA, Recharges for each forecast cycle.
- Make submission of finalized inputs in PBCS.
- Share finalized forecasts with HQ Functions after closure of planning and forecast cycles.
New Projects and System/Process Enhancements
- Develop new dashboards and lead its integration in HQ dashboards tool (Pulse) to improve the visibility in HQ operations & performance. Drive data and report enrichment in all tools.
- Coordinate new HQ Pulse dashboards which will provide visibility of latest up-to-date financial information on a daily level through daily system integrations.
- Support recharge accrual & recognition process and receivable management.
- Provide support and visibility for Recharges between HQ functional owners and cost centers.

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Expert Business Control (HQ)?
- Qualified Professional with experience in Business Controlling, FP&A and reporting, preferably in Telecom Sector.
- Detail knowledge of FPA, Management Reporting, Business Controlling and Month-end closing activities.
- Strong and up-to-date knowledge of IFRS and accounting.
- Good understanding of Source to Pay and Record to Report operations.
- Good understanding of Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service PBCS), Oracle Fusion and Oracle EPM Cloud.
- Deep understanding of financial modelling.
- Accounting and reporting systems enhancements.
- Coordination & Communications and proactive, ability to work independently with minimal support.
