What is an Analytics Expert at Jazz?

The Analytics Expert – B2B Analytics & Insights is a uniquely hybrid role that sits at the intersection of advanced technical data science and strategic business enablement.

This is not a traditional analytics position—it requires both deep technical acumen (e.g., building predictive models, writing stored procedures, designing data marts) and corporate fluency (e.g., enabling C-level decision-making, aligning stakeholders across departments, supporting business strategy with insights). The ideal candidate can code like an engineer, think like a strategist, and communicate like a business partner.

While this role formally sits within the Channel Planning, Development & Insights (CPDI) function of Jazz Business, its impact is organisation-wide. This team serves as the central analytics engine for all of Jazz Enterprise Solutions, supporting stakeholders across Sales, Product, Finance, Channel, Technology, Marketing, and the CEO’s Office. The role offers unmatched visibility, influence, and ownership across Jazz Business’s transformation journey.

What does the Analytics Expert do?

• Advanced Analytics & Modelling

Design and deploy analytical models (e.g., clustering, segmentation, predictive modelling) that unlock new opportunities in customer targeting, churn prevention, and revenue optimisation.

• Strategic Insight Generation

Build dashboards, performance frameworks, and deep-dive analyses that support leadership decisions across Jazz Business, ranging from CEO-level visibility layers to sales team enablement tools.

• Data Engineering Collaboration

Write stored procedures, design data marts, support data validation processes, and work with engineering teams to streamline pipelines and improve data quality.

• Enterprise Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the analytics partner to internal clients across multiple domains (CPD, Sales Channels, Marketing & Product, CX and Ops, Data & Strategy Division, CEO Office), translating business challenges into analytical roadmaps.

• Cross-Functional Project

Support Contribute to high-impact projects, including performance visibility revamps, base segmentation, whitespace analysis, and automation of reporting systems.

• Mentoring & Collaboration

Support interns and junior analysts, contribute to a collaborative team culture, and act as a technical advisor on business-aligned analytics.

Requirements

What are we looking for?

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or business intelligence roles
• Prior experience working in a telecom, B2B SaaS, or enterprise services environment is a plus

Technical Skillset (Essential)

• Expert-level SQL (writing procedures, optimizing joins, validating marts)
• Working knowledge of Python or R for data modeling
• Hands-on experience with Tableau or Power BI for dashboarding
• Hands-on experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Comfort with deep learning libraries and frameworks
• Experience supporting or collaborating with data engineering teams (ETL, pipelines, API integration of models into production environments, basic MLOps)
• Exposure to prompt engineering and generative AI tools (e.g., GPT, HuggingFace) for internal automation and data mining
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows for version control and collaboration is a plus
