What is Expert GL & Revenue Reporting?
The Expert GL & Revenue Reporting – JazzCash role encompasses a strong understanding of end-to-end accounting for revenue and cost streams, general ledger management, and financial reporting for JazzCash. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate recording of revenues and direct/indirect costs, timely GL closing, and preparation of management reports in compliance with applicable accounting standards, SOX controls, and company policies.
This role reports directly to the Manager AQA & DFS Reporting, and works closely with business, commercial, and technology teams to ensure accurate financial visibility into JazzCash’s performance.
What does Expert GL & Revenue Reporting do?
- Acquire a deep business understanding of JazzCash’s digital financial services ecosystem and related revenue & cost drivers.
- Record and monitor monthly revenues from key JazzCash products and services (P2P transfers, bill payments, NBFC, Ad tech, merchant payments, Float revenue, etc.) in Oracle, along with related cost streams (agent commissions, NADRA costs, service charges, CVAS expense etc.).
- Prepare and Maintain detailed Dashboard of revenues and costs for each business line and ensure reconciliations with operational data.
- Independently manage month-end closing activities including accruals booking, revenue recording, expense allocation, and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with SBP’s Regulations, and other relevant regulatory frameworks in revenue and cost recognition.
- Perform variance analysis between budget/forecast vs actuals (both revenue and cost) and between previous and current periods, linking results with underlying business performance.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls (both key and non-key), including documentation, reporting, and facilitation of internal/external/SOX audits.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS requirements, particularly revenue recognition and cost rules.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting packs and dashboards for senior management, including revenue and cost insights, and business trends.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial and operational reporting from stakeholders (finance, business, commercial, and regulators).
- Support preparation of audit schedules and assist auditors in their inquiries related to revenues and costs.
- Identify impacts of new accounting standards, regulations, and group policies on JazzCash’s revenue and cost accounting, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
- Drive and support implementation of process improvement initiatives for efficiency, automation, and enhanced reporting accuracy.
- Act as a key contact person for finance and non-finance stakeholders on matters relating to revenue and cost reporting for digital financial services.

Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Expert GL & Revenue Reporting?
- CA Inter/ ACCA with minimum of 4 to 5 years of working experience including Telecom Industry.
- Sound knowledge of relevant International Accounting Standards (IFRS).
- Experience of presenting financial results, variance analysis and handling of large quantum of data.
- Understanding of financial reporting & closing process.
- ERP - Oracle
