What is Specialist Performance Management?
The purpose of this position is to implement performance management culture within the Strategy and Growth Division. This will ensure that there is a framework in place to measure the progress being made towards achievement of organizational as well as division objectives. It will be achieved via planning, establishing, monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating organizational, divisional and individual product / stream level performance. As JazzCash continues to expand its operations, it becomes more important that performance and business scale – up is more carefully scrutinized.
The role reports directly to the Manager Performance Management and with an extended team of 12 team members
What does Specialist Performance Management do?
- Preparing, and Improving financial models to support in forecasting / reporting at individual use case level (Transaction Value, Volume, Customers and Revenue) and Marketing / Other OPEX pertaining to Products and Strategy Domain
- Developing forecasting databases incorporating trends seen in actual daily reports
- Sensitizing forecasted numbers against actual trends and timely identification of performance gaps
- Develop understanding of key value drivers for important KPIs as well as understanding of macro & micro-economic indicators and their impact to assist in the planning process
- Financial modelling automation to reduce turnaround time
- Actualization of forecasting models to highlight deviations - variance analysis at driver level to help highlight business pain points to product teams and divisional leadership
- KPI dashboards to track daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance
- Revenue and OPEX monitoring / controlling
- Supporting divisional stakeholders (both internal and external) as part of project / operation execution
- Presentations pertaining to OpCo, DigiCo, local management meeting sessions
- Analyse large sets of data with accuracy and provide meaningful actionable insights to top management
- Use case level data deep dives on actual data (BI and / or financial data) to understand actual behaviour patterns – this will help as course correction in the forecasting process but more importantly it will act as an indicator to effectively challenge teams (internal and external) and identify pain points / problems
- Regular post evaluations to determine efficiency of pricing moves, cashback promotions, consumer acquisition / retention / reactivation campaigns
- Consumer health / behaviour trackers
- Product profitability analysis

Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Specialist Performance Management?
- ACCA / Master’s degree in Economics or Finance
- Fresh Graduate – 2 Yrs. of Experience - preferably strong experience in an analytical and/or planning role with a strong quantitative background for experienced candidates.
- Microsoft Office is an essential requirement; proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint will be an advantage
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and team building skills
- Should be able to work individually and in a team
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, and keep an eye on the bigger picture
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Ability to work under stressful situations with tight deadlines. Flexibility to adapt to changing situations at the last moment, including carrying out ad-hoc tasks/analysis
- Attention to detail and data-driven approach
