What is MBU Lead?
MBU Lead supervises end to end operations of Telecom Towers in the area (Micro Business Unit), ensures achievement of contractual KPIs of Mobile Network Operators, strives to optimize costs, maintains power and civil infrastructure in the area and manages subcontractors and vendors.
We are looking for a candidate who has already worked for Access Operations with experience of power infrastructure and vendor management.
The role reports to the Zonal Manager.
What does MBU Lead do?
- To ensure achievement of Targeted network uptime.
- To maintain network in optimsed targeted energy cost.
- To maintain accurate network database.
- Management of FLM and security vendors in targeted area of responsibility.
- Audit sites in area of responsibility to identify shortcomings and get them resolved.
- To ensure success rate as well as timely completion of Preventive maintenance cycles.
- To ensure customer SLAs and targeted KPIs are met.
- To find out and implement ways to achieve opex reduction.
- To keep Power infrastructure in healthy condition.
- Perform ATP of Solar project, Gensets, Rectifiers etc.
- To monitor and manage loads (as per contracts) of all mobile operators through monitoring tools.
- Monthly reconciliation of KPIs with Mobile Operators.
- To ensure that environmental alarm report properly and resolution of stuck alarms timely.
- To ensure HSE compliance in area of responsibility.

Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be MBU Lead?
- BSc. Engineering in Electrical / Electronics / Telecom/Computer Science with 2 to 4 Years of Relevant experience
- B Tech with a minimum of 4 years' experience in the telecommunications field operations
- Expertise in Power infrastructure on BTS Cell Sites, both AC & DC, Rectifiers and RMS troubleshooting
- Experience in preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of non-telco equipment
- Customer Centric approach to identify and fix network issues
- Flexibility of working hours in case of operational emergencies
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Experienced in small to medium-level team management
- Good reporting skills
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, hard worker and out of box thinker.
