What is Core Performance Analytics Expert?
As a Core Performance Analytics Expert, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring an exceptional user experience for Jazz's modern network services. Your primary focus will be leading the end-to-end performance, optimization, and quality assurance for the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), Voice over LTE (VoLTE), and the evolving 5G Core network. You'll proactively monitor performance, troubleshoot advanced issues, and continuously enhance Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) for all voice, messaging, and data services that rely on these cutting-edge technologies.
The role Core Performance Analytics Expert within the Technology department at Jazz, located in Islamabad. The position reports directly to the Manager Network Performance Analytics.
What does Core Performance Analytics Expert do?
A key part of your role will involve conducting regular parameter audits using automation scripts. You'll scrutinize configurations of critical network elements like MME, SGW, PGW, AMF, SMF, UPF, IMS nodes (CSCF, MGCF, HSS), and PCRF. This ensures everything aligns with network design guidelines, performance standards, and vendor recommendations, all vital for optimal VoLTE, IMS, and 5G Core operations.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- IMS, VoLTE & 5G Core Performance Monitoring: You'll continuously monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Quality Indicators (KQIs) across IMS, VoLTE, and 5G Core domains. This includes pinpointing performance degradation, identifying bottlenecks, and proactively initiating corrective actions for modern voice and 5G data services.
- QoS & QoE Management (VoLTE, IMS & 5G): Your responsibilities will involve defining, analyzing, and optimizing QoS profiles, policy control (PCC), and bearer management for VoLTE, IMS, and 5G QoS flows. You'll also coordinate with planning, transmission, and RAN teams to maintain superior end-to-end QoE for VoLTE, VoWiFi, and 5G services.
- Traffic & Capacity Analysis (IMS, VoLTE & 5G Core): You'll conduct trend analysis and forecasting to ensure optimal capacity and service quality for all IMS, VoLTE, and 5G Core elements. This includes recommending scaling strategies for EPC, 5GC, and IMS elements based on the growth of modern services.
- Performance Optimization (IMS, VoLTE & 5G Core): You'll perform root cause analysis (RCA) and service impact analysis for any network degradations affecting IMS, VoLTE, and 5G services. You'll design and implement optimization strategies to improve VoLTE/VoWiFi call setup success rates, voice quality (MOS), call drop rates, application latency over 5G, and overall 5G throughput. Specific areas include addressing VoLTE/VoWiFi call drops and quality degradation, application latency and throughput on 5G, and core network issues impacting 5G slicing and service continuity.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: You'll be the liaison with equipment vendors for performance feature trials, tuning, and critical issue resolution concerning IMS, VoLTE, and 5G Core technologies. Cross-functional collaboration with planning, operations, IT, and commercial teams will be essential for comprehensive quality assurance.
- Tools & Automation: You'll utilize and enhance analytics platforms (e.g., U2020, SmartCare, Nokia NMS) and develop custom dashboards for improved visibility across IMS, VoLTE, and 5G Core. You'll drive automation initiatives for reporting, alerting, and KPI monitoring, and develop Python-based automated audit scripts for critical parameter verification across these domains. Crucially, you'll facilitate future integration of AI/ML-driven solutions by providing domain expertise and data requirements to an in-house development team.
- Documentation & Reporting: You'll prepare periodic performance and quality reports for senior management, focusing specifically on IMS, VoLTE, and 5G Core performance. Maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and performance baselines for these critical domains will also be a key responsibility.
