Who is the Stream Head Business Planning?

This role reports to the Head of Business Planning with an extended cross-functional team.

What does Stream Head Business Planning do?

Key Responsibilities

1.      Financial Planning & Business Performance Management

o   Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support revenue planning, cost analysis, and profitability assessment across B2B product lines & channels.

o   Monitor and analyze business performance against financial targets, identifying key drivers of revenue growth, cost movements, and margin trends.

2.      Forecasting Framework Development

o   Design and implement a structured and data-driven revenue forecasting framework to significantly improve forecast accuracy..

o   Analyze historical revenue patterns, pipeline dynamics, and billing cycles to build predictive forecasting models.

o   Work closely with Business teams to validate forecast assumptions and ensure realistic revenue projections.

3.      P&L and Margin Management

o   Develop & maintain clear visibility of revenue streams, cost structures, and margin performance across the B2B business.

o   Establish structured margin analysis frameworks to assess profitability across product lines, sales channels and overall B2B Business.

o   Identify margin erosion risks and recommend corrective actions to improve financial performance.

4.      Cost Structure and Financial Transparency

o   Build a detailed understanding of the business cost structure and support the development of transparent cost allocation mechanisms.

o   Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate mapping of business costs to revenue streams.

o   Support initiatives aimed at improving financial discipline and cost efficiency.

5.      Financial Governance and Alignment with Finance

o   Work closely with Finance and FP&A teams to ensure alignment between operational forecasts and financial reporting.

o   Support reconciliation between booked revenue, billed & Unbilled revenue to improve financial clarity.

6.      Financial Analysis and Decision Support

o   Provide analytical support for key strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and commercial opportunities.

o   Develop financial scenarios and sensitivity analyses to support business planning and risk assessment.

o   Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for business leadership

7.      Reporting and Business Intelligence

o   Develop structured performance dashboards and financial reports to track revenue performance, margin trends, and forecast accuracy.

o   Leverage data analytics tools to enhance visibility and enable data-driven decision making.

o   Continuously improve reporting processes to ensure timely and reliable financial insights.

Requirements

o   Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

o   Professional finance qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CA, CFA, CPA) will be considered an advantage

o   6+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Planning preferably in technology sector.

o   Strong exposure to P&L management, financial modelling, forecasting, and profitability analysis.

o   Experience working closely with Finance and FP&A teams in a matrix organizational structure.

o   Experience in developing automated performance tracking dashboards and payout calculation models.

o   Proficient in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools for data analysis and reporting.

o   Ability to interpret complex data sets and convert them into actionable insights.
