What is Specialist Accounting?

Specialist Accounting is responsible for providing support in the execution of accurate and timely financial reporting.

The role reports to the Manager Accounting.

What does Specialist Accounting do?

·        Support Manager Accounting in financial reporting deliverables including month end and year end close.

·        Collaborate with the financial reporting team to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.

·        Support the preparation and distribution of internal financial reports for management and other stakeholders.

·        Assist in coordinating with external auditors during the annual audit process

·        Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

·        Support management in analyzing financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

·        Help management in developing insights into the company's financial performance based on analysis.

·        Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.

·        Assist in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders in line with departmental activities and objectives.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Specialist Accounting?

·        ACCA, Masters in Finance or MBA in Finance or pre -CA with articles at a reputable firm

·        Minimum 2-3 years of related work experience.

·        Knowledge of relevant International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

·        Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

·        Demonstrated interpersonal and communications skills.

·        Exhibit excellent teamwork & collaboration.

·        Strong Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·        Multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

·        Responding quickly and professionally under pressure.
