What is Head of B2G?
Head of B2G is responsible for extending connectivity and solutions to the Public Sector portfolio and customers of Jazz. Individual serves as a thought leader who works through the core back-end teams and sales teams throughout Pakistan, in resolving the digital business problems of customers. The role works closely with the sales team to develop and execute strategies to meet/exceed sales targets, increase market share, and drive revenue growth. The Head of B2G also works very closely with the Product teams to identify and deliver innovative solutions as a one stop shop for public sector clients.
Whilst leading the nation-wide B2G team, the individual is a member of the JazzBiz Leadership team to formulate, a strategy to not only serve the B2G sector, but also contribute to the overall growth of JazzBiz and push the agenda of a Digital Pakistan.
The role leads a direct team of 3 Regional Heads & 1 Vertical & Special Projects team, besides running the whole Department of 25 people spread nationwide.
What does Head of B2G do?
Serve as a thought leader and resident expert on overall strategy of serving the digital needs of the public sector; through good product knowledge, technical integrations, developing use cases, and general industry knowledge
- Drive design and end-to-end management of existing and new capabilities like Opportunity Management, customer lifecycle, Channel and Partner Enablement, and Account Management
- Responsible to provide inputs on revenues targets setting, market potential, customer needs, new products development, modifications to existing products, network expansion, and portfolio management
- Design strategy and product line well suited for public sector and lead rollout at nationwide level including developing and maintaining good stakeholder relations in the government sector.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with government agencies to understand their needs, preferences, and product requirements. This involves participating in market development activities, forums, attend customer events & conferences to propagate product portfolio and gather market intelligence/ competitors' offerings, etc. as well as identifying opportunities for partnership and collaboration.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and opportunities, developing sales plans and proposals, and managing the sales team to execute these plans effectively.
- Translate divisional strategy into tactical plans for regions ensuring the revenue target is tactfully distributed among respective verticals in line with the market potential.
- Apply a data-driven approach to read the market and determine regional revenue potential and able to derive insight from data and build an actionable strategy based on analysis
- Drive critical sales opportunities and engagements in the enterprise space, guiding team to propose a solution, workout feasibility, and operational aspect of the proposed solution.
- Ability to partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders and influence successfully across organizational boundaries
- Ensure high-quality consultancy for client organizations, helping them grow by leveraging voice, fixed and ICT products offered by Jazz i.e., Cloud, IoT, M2M, Jazz Cash, and GSM.
- Lead the teams to identify, qualify, manage, and close sales opportunities while engaging with internal stakeholders (Pre-sales, Marketing, Operations) to ensure an end-to-end service.
- Actively engage with senior management at client organization to determine the product need and ways to build strong long-term relationships Collaborate with the leadership team to land strategic customer opportunities
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends through personal contact with clients and suppliers, and attendance at industry association meetings, seminars, and trade functions
- Ensure that the team is aligned with the vision and remains motivated to fulfil short-term targets, while always ensuring that they exhibit Jazz values and are strong ambassadors.
- Manage important KPIs other than the revenue that will set Jazz apart such as customer service, churn rate, customer retention, new product development, etc.
- Builds strong influence across the organization while having limited control (Stakeholder management) to ensure the Sales team can collaborate cross-functionally to achieve goals.
- Participate in deal qualification calls to assess profitability, pricing, resource requirements, etc. along with other internal teams.
- Responsible for building and managing a team of sales professionals focused on selling to government entities. This includes hiring and training sales personnel, setting sales targets, and monitoring and evaluating team performance.

Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Head of B2G?
- First and foremost, a good leader that inspires the team
- Strong grip on the industry dynamics, exhibits entrepreneurial mindset and has unmatched business acumen.
- Incumbent should understand the technological gap in the Government sector and fill the same by leveraging our product portfolio i.e., cloud, M2M, DFS, IoT.
- Incumbent should be a seasoned sales professional who has led various strategic initiatives and has experience in managing large teams nationally spread teams.
- Minimum Master's degree preferably MBA with technical and industry knowledge
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience overall, and 5+ years in a similar leadership role or head of department in sales and business development area
