What is Associate BI Analyst – Teknosys?
The Associate BI Analyst will be part of Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Practice, supporting the design, development, and operation of enterprise BI solutions. This role is ideal for an early-career BI professional who has prior exposure to analytics projects and is eager to grow hands-on expertise across dashboards, data modelling, and BI platforms.
You will work within a state-of-the-art Data Warehouse and Analytics ecosystem, collaborating with cross-functional teams and gaining exposure to large-scale BI environments, enterprise governance, and modern analytics tools.
What does Associate BI Analyst – Teknosys do?
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical views using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Qlik
- Translate business requirements into effective visualizations and analytical solutions
- Build and enhance interactive dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, and consistency
- Basic understanding of business analysis concepts, including requirement gathering, stakeholder communication, and translating business needs into analytical requirements
- Validate data and visuals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability
- Assist with platform administration tasks such as user access, roles, permissions, content organization and upgrades
- Perform basic health checks and monitoring of BI platforms
- Assist in data modelling activities (dimensional and relational models)
- Optimize dashboards and queries for performance and scalability
- Write and tune SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of analytics solutions
- Follow established BI governance, security, and design standards
- Support self-service analytics adoption by enabling reusable reports, metrics, and certified datasets
- Stay updated on AI-enabled BI and cloud analytics trends
- Travel to client sites for short-term assignments, when required
Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Associate BI Analyst – Teknosys?
- 1–3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related role
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, master’s degree is a plus
- Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Qlik)
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying and data validation
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and analytical data structures
- Familiarity with data modelling techniques (Star, Snowflake schemas)
- Basic understanding of ETL/ELT processes and BI tool integration
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to explain analytical insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Analytical and BI tool certifications is a plus (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or other recognized analytics certifications)
