What is Manager Accounts Payables?
Accounts Payable Manager manages payment related activities in accounts payable function. Ensure compliance to all SLA’s and KPI’s in payable area according to internal and external laws/policies/procedures.
The role reports directly to the Head of Accounts Payable and has team members reporting to him for operational activities.
What does Manager Accounts Payables do?
· Leads the end-to-end payment cycle, ensuring that all disbursements are executed on time and fully aligned with organizational policies, SOPs, and performance standards.
· Builds strong, trust‑based relationships with internal and external stakeholders, proactively engaging through structured interactions to anticipate needs and remove operational barriers.
· Demonstrates deep command of foreign exchange regulations issued by the State Bank of Pakistan and commercial banks. Guides teams and user departments in navigating documentation and regulatory requirements to ensure timely and compliant processing of foreign payments.
· Strengthens collaboration with banking partners and critical stakeholders to secure timely and seamless execution of all payment obligations.
· Drives continuous improvement by engaging with the line manager and key stakeholders in weekly tactical forums, ensuring consistent enhancement of service delivery and operational excellence.
· Provides oversight of due payments, MIS reporting, and booked transactions to maintain accuracy, transparency, and control.
· Owns the escalation framework, exercising sound judgement in approving exceptions and ensuring adherence to the defined governance structure.
· Leads process reviews and benchmarking exercises to align operations with industry best practices, recommending and implementing changes that optimize efficiency and standardize workflows.
· Cultivates a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team, empowering individuals to identify opportunities for optimization and adopt best-in-class processes.
· Partners with the Head of Accounts Payable to advance the finance function’s digital transformation agenda, ensuring successful adoption of modern tools and process automation.
· Upholds strong governance by ensuring complete compliance with all internal controls, regulatory requirements, and process-level controls.
· Ensures that key controls within the payment domain remain robust and consistently effective, enhancing overall financial stewardship.
· Oracle Fusion experience for Accounts Payable (AP) roles with proficiency in end-to-end invoice processing (PO/non-PO) and payment execution within the cloud environment. Ability to manage approval workflows and performing month-end reconciliations.
· Provides required support to both internal and external auditors and ensures 100% compliance to data provisioning requests.
· Leads by example, motivates and maintains a competent and high performing staff, capable to meet current and future needs; Identifies training and development requirements of subordinates to take future roles.
