What is Solution Architect – Event Streaming, Data Ingestion & Cloud?

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to design, develop, and manage enterprise-grade architectures for JazzCash’s large-scale digital payments ecosystem. The role requires a strong foundation in enterprise solution design, hands-on development expertise, and deep knowledge of Kafka, MQ, and real-time data ingestion frameworks, combined with solid experience in cloud-native platforms and DevOps practices..

What does Solution Architect – Event Streaming, Data Ingestion & Cloud do?

• Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for real-time payments, transactions, analytics, and fraud detection platforms.
• Design and govern event-driven microservices architectures, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security.
• Architect, deploy, and operate Kafka clusters, ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ/IBM MQ, and other enterprise messaging platforms.
• Define and implement best practices for schema management, message governance, and integration patterns.
• Collaborate with application development teams to deliver high-throughput, low-latency services using Java, WSO2, and Node.js microservices.
• Drive the adoption of DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Establish enterprise-level monitoring, observability, and alerting frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Confluent Control Center).
• Develop and oversee capacity planning, scaling strategies, HA/DR solutions, and regulatory compliance (SBP, PCI-DSS, data privacy).
• Mentor engineering teams, providing technical leadership and architecture guidance.
• Partner with vendors on Kafka licensing, cloud integration, and enterprise platform support.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Solution Architect – Event Streaming, Data Ingestion & Cloud at JazzCash

• 5+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years in solution architecture.
• Strong development experience in Java, WSO2, Node.js, or equivalent backend frameworks.
• Proven expertise in Apache Kafka (Confluent/OSS) – setup, scaling, partitioning, replication, security (Kerberos/SASL/ACLs).
• Hands-on experience with ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, RedHat AMQ and enterprise integration patterns.
• Solid knowledge of data ingestion frameworks (Kafka Connect, NiFi, Flume, Debezium) and stream processing (Kafka Streams, Flink, Spark Streaming, ksqlDB).
• Deep understanding of cloud-native event streaming platforms (AWS MSK, Azure Event Hub, GCP Pub/Sub).
• Strong exposure to DevOps tools & practices, including CI/CD, automation, observability, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Familiarity with microservices design patterns, pub-sub, and API-first integration.
• Experience working in high-transaction financial services/fintech environments is a strong plus.
• Leadership skills to drive enterprise-wide architecture standards and mentor technical teams.
