What is Expert Inventory Operations?

The Expert Inventory Operations will be managing and optimizing inventory processes exclusively for Telecom products. The role will collectively enable PMCL to reduce costs, improve inventory performance, and enhance customer satisfaction through effective inventory operations and management. The role demands deep expertise in inventory control, warehouse operations management through 3PL & OEM business partners. The role will be responsible to ensure accurate tracking, timely availability, and cost-effective management of telecom assets including network equipment, SIM cards, devices, and related materials. The role reports directly to Manager Inventory Operations and with eleven members in the extended team.

What Expert Inventory Operations?

·        Oversee all inventory operations at 3PL & OEM Warehouse facilities including receipt, storage, tracking, and dispatch of telecom equipment and materials using advanced inventory management systems.

·        Planning, organizing, and controlling inventory of telecom equipment, spare parts, and consumables across various network segments such as access, core, and transmission networks.

·        Tracking and monitoring inventory levels and locations using advanced inventory management systems to maintain real-time visibility and data accuracy.

·        Conducting regular inventory audits to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies. Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular cycle counts and physical verification of inventories.

·        Forecasting inventory needs based on demand trends, project requirements, and technological changes to avoid stockouts or overstocking.

·        Implementing Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory practices to optimize stock levels, reduce holding costs, and improve cash flow.

·        Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure safe and timely delivery of telecom assets, while managing supply chain risks.

·        Eliminating redundant, obsolete, or unused inventory to minimize waste and reduce costs.

·        Maintaining detailed documentation and reporting on inventory status, movement, and financial impact to support decision-making and compliance.

·        Collaborating cross-functionally with procurement, finance, operations, and network teams to align inventory management with business objectives and technology deployments.

·        Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to asset management and security at 3PL & OEM warehouse facilities.

·        Leveraging technology and automation, including AI, machine learning, and IoT, to optimize inventory processes and improve operational efficiency.

·        Use data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, BI/ERP systems) to track trends and drive decision-making.

·        Develop and implement inventory management strategies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency, reduce obsolete stock, and improve inventory turnover ratios.

·        Work as Supply Chain focal point of contact for the region.

Requirements

·        Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.

·        Minimum 3-5 years of experience in inventory & warehouse management, preferably within the telecom sector or related technology industries.

·        Proven expertise in inventory control systems, ERP software, and data analytics tools.

·        Strong understanding of telecom equipment, SIM cards, network devices, and related supply chain dynamics.

·        Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams and coordinating cross-functional operations.

·        Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·        Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·        Knowledge of Just-In-Time inventory and supply chain best practices.

·        Experience with supplier audits, contract management, and compliance standards

·        Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

·        Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, and drive performance improvements.

·        Proficiency in using logistics and supply chain management software and tools.

·        Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.

·        Willingness to travel between warehouses and project sites as needed.
