What is Senior Business Analyst?

The Senior Business Analyst serves as a key point of contact for management, with a clear responsibility to stay closely connected to the pulse of the business and provide timely, meaningful visibility into performance. The role involves conducting in-depth analysis to identify the key drivers behind results, while also proposing innovative and practical solutions to business challenges. The Senior Business Analyst brings together data-driven insights, analytical rigor, and an understanding of consumer behavior to tell the complete story behind business performance.

The role reports directly to the Head of Performance Analytics.

What does a Senior Business Analyst do?

• Own performance visibility for management by guiding the development of interactive dashboards, enabling timely insights and early identification of risks/opportunities
• Design and maintain a scalable analytics architecture that allows the team to respond to business questions efficiently
• Lead deep-dives to identify key drivers of customer behavior, engagement, and base composition, while maintaining strong analytical standards across the team
• Drive automation of recurring reports and continuously improve data workflows to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency
• Support strategic planning and senior leadership decision-making through advanced data modeling, scenario analysis, and impact assessments
• Review, refine, and present insights to senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring outputs are clear & relevant
• Uphold strong data quality, consistency, and governance practices across all analytical outputs
• Partner closely with stakeholders to define performance goals, targets, and success metrics, ensuring alignment and shared ownership across teams.

Apart from the details mentioned above for the given role, responsibilities and deliverables will include the following:

• Reporting and Monitoring of major KPIs (subscriber, revenue, etc)
• Deep dives to point out areas of improvement essential for business growth
• Updating management and key stakeholders on the performance
• Target achievement monitoring and tracking performance against respective targets for each month
• Forecasting subscribers, revenue, and other critical KPIs in collaboration with the Data Science team.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be a Senior Business Analyst?

• 5+ years’ experience in Business Analytics, Segments, and Pricing roles
• Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics or Computer Science
• Experience with analytical and reporting tools including SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Google Analytics, Data Studio, Firebase, BigQuery, Excel, Mixpanel etc.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to make data-driven decisions
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience working with large datasets and cross-functional teams.
