Overview:
An experienced and highly motivated Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of telecom supply chain dynamics, coupled with extensive hands-on experience in SAP, particularly with its implementation and utilization for supply chain optimization. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless flow of materials, equipment and services, driving efficiency, cost savings and high-quality service delivery.
This role reports directly to Head of Procurement & SCM.
What does Manager Supply Chain do?
Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
- Develop, implement and manage comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives and growth plans.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Identify, evaluate and select strategic suppliers. Manage contract, vendors performance and foster strong collaborative relationships to ensure timely delivery, quality and cost effectiveness of materials and services.
Inventory Management
- Develop and execute strategies for optimal inventory levels, forecasting demand, managing stock obsolescence and ensuring efficient warehousing and distribution.
Logistics & Distribution
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation, warehousing and customs clearance to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of products.
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Collaborate with project and network planning teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and translate them into effective supply chain plans.
Process Improvement
- Continuously analyse and improve supply chain processes, identifying bottlenecks, implementing best practices and leveraging technology to drive operational excellence.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks including supplier disruptions, natural disasters and geopolitical issues. Develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
Cost Optimization
- Drive cost reduction initiatives across the supply chain without compromising quality or service levels.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing supply chain team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Manage cross-functional teams to drive seamless supply chain operations and risk mitigation.
Reporting & Analytics
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain, monitor performance and generate insightful reports for decision makers.
SAP Implementation and Optimization (Supply Chain Focus)
- Lead and/or actively participate in SAP implementation projects specifically related to supply chain modules.
- Optimize existing SAP functionalities to enhance supply chain efficiency, visibility and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of SAP with other business systems.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within SAP supply chain modules.

Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Manager Supply Chain Management?
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) are a plus. Working in a technology related role (preferably in a Mobile Operator/Vendor) with clear understanding of technology network elements and vendor market.
- Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in procurement with at least 4 years in a managerial role, preferably within the telecom industry.
- Demonstrable experience in optimizing SAP functionalities for supply chain processes.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, best practices and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
