What is "Expert Foreign Trade & Insurance"?
Expert Foreign Trade & Insurance independently manage all foreign trade and insurance operations of the company, ensuring full compliance with SBP and SECP regulations, timely execution of cross-border payments, optimal coverage of corporate assets, and accurate reporting to management and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Foreign Trade Operations
- Manage end-to-end offshore payment processing including imports, service contracts, and inter-company remittances in line with SBP’s Foreign Exchange Manual.
- Prepare and maintain SBP approval cases under relevant chapters (e.g., 14A, 14C, 20), ensuring that all submissions contain proper business justifications and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with banks, group treasury, vendors, and internal departments for preparation and execution of outward remittances, Letters of Credit (LCs), and Bank Guarantees.
- Monitor payment pipelines and approval statuses, maintaining up-to-date records of pending, approved, and executed cases.
- Ensure timely renewal of foreign trade instruments and maintain a compliance tracker for all regulatory filings.
- Liaise with SBP and Authorized Dealers for clarification on new circulars and changes in foreign exchange regulations impacting business operations.
- Reconcile all foreign currency payments and receipts, and provide periodic MIS for management review.
2. Insurance Operations
- Administer the complete corporate insurance portfolio covering assets, infrastructure, third-party liability, and business interruption for PMCL and its subsidiaries.
- Lead the policy renewal process—consolidate asset exposure data, obtain quotations from multiple insurers/brokers, and evaluate coverage terms before final placement.
- Ensure adequate insurance coverage for all newly acquired or disposed assets by coordinating with finance and supply chain.
- Maintain and update the insurance register, policy documents, endorsements, and claim records.
- Facilitate and coordinate insurance claims—documentation, surveyor engagement, follow-up with insurers, and settlement recording.
- Evaluate premium allocations, monitor insurer performance, and recommend improvements in cost efficiency and coverage.
- Prepare regular management reports summarizing insurance exposures, claim status, and outstanding recoveries.
3. Compliance and Coordination
- Ensure all foreign trade and insurance transactions comply with SBP, SECP, and internal audit requirements.
- Act as the focal point for internal and external audits, ensuring availability of supporting documentation and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, SCM, Tax, and Group Treasury to resolve operational or compliance issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of foreign exchange circulars, SECP insurance guidelines, and group compliance policies.
4. Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare periodic status reports on pending approvals, insurance renewals, claim settlements, and foreign remittance utilization.
- Provide data analysis and dashboards for management decision-making on payment prioritization, insurance exposure, and cost optimization.
- Support Head of Treasury in preparing regulatory presentations and management briefs.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in foreign trade operations and corporate insurance within a large corporate or financial institution.
- Certifications (Preferred): Treasury, Trade Finance, or Insurance-related certification (e.g., ICMA, CITF, or equivalent).

- Strong understanding of SBP Foreign Exchange Manual, trade documentation, and payment compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance coverage types, risk evaluation, and claims handling.
- Excellent coordination and communication with regulators, banks, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret financial and compliance data.
- High attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and follow-through.
