What is Software Engineer – Development & Support?

This role combines backend development with Spring Boot and frontend collaboration full stack capacity. As a Software Engineer at Jazz, you’ll work across development and support functions to ensure smooth operation of enterprise applications deployed on private/hybrid cloud and on-premise setups.

What does Software Engineer – Development & Support do?

Development Responsibilities:

• Backend Services: Design and develop scalable microservices using Spring Boot and Java.
• working with Angular, React, or Flutter.
• API Development: Build robust RESTful APIs and enable service integration layers.
• Database Interaction: Write and optimize queries in PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Performance & Security: Perform code reviews and ensure secure, performant code.

Support & Operations Responsibilities:

• Application Support: Respond to incidents, resolve defects, and proactively manage reliability.
• Monitoring & Logging: Use ELK Stack, Datadog, or Zabbix for observability.
• Infrastructure Support: Deploy and manage services on private cloud, AWS, or Azure environments.
• DevOps Integration: Collaborate on CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and containerization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar field.
• 2–4 years of Java development experience with Spring Boot.
• Understanding of frontend tech like React/Angular is a plus.
• Solid experience with both MySQL or PostgreSQL databases.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and incident management workflows.

Skills Required:

• Strong Spring Boot & REST API development expertise.
• Microservices architecture and API security best practices.
• Proficient in troubleshooting backend services and database issues.
• Awareness of DevOps practices and container platforms.
• Good communication and cross-team collaboration skills
