What is "Specialist Cash Management"?
To manage and execute day-to-day cash management activities, ensure optimal liquidity across PMCL and its subsidiary companies, maintain effective coordination with partner banks, and support efficient utilization of funds in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cash Management Operations
- Prepare and report the daily cash position of PMCL and all subsidiary companies.
- Prepare daily cheque release workings to calculate the available float position.
- Update and actualize cash flow forecasts for PMCL and subsidiaries.
- Plan and manage interbank fund movements based on payment requirements and expected inflows across all accounts.
- Prepare and process fund transfer instruction letters as per daily cash plan.
- Manage funds transfer execution including letter signing, scanning, and email sharing with respective banks.
- Conduct follow-ups with banks to ensure timely execution of transfer instructions.
- Monitor daily utilization of overdraft lines and plan interbank movements for overdraft settlement.
- Ensure dual verification and secure handling of all payment and transfer documentation.
2. Investment Management
- Coordinate with banks and fund managers for placement of surplus funds for PMCL and subsidiaries.
- Negotiate and review interest rates on savings, term deposits, and money market instruments.
- Prepare and present investment options and comparative analyses for management review and decision-making.
- Liaise with banks and fund managers for final investment placements in line with approved limits.
- Monitor credit limits and treasury guidelines to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory frameworks.
3. Reporting & Reconciliation
- Prepare and share daily reports of executed interbank fund transfers with the Corporate Accounting Team.
- Review and reconcile daily bank balances and highlight any variances or discrepancies.
- Assist in the booking of interest income and overdraft accruals on a periodic basis.
- Maintain proper records and documentation of all executed transactions and investments for audit and compliance purposes.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in cash management, treasury, or corporate banking operations.
- Certifications (Preferred): CFA Level I, ICMA, or relevant treasury/finance certification.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of cash flow management, interbank transfers, and liquidity planning.
- Sound understanding of investment instruments such as TDRs, savings accounts, and T-bills.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders (banks, fund managers, and finance teams).
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High standards of confidentiality, integrity, and accountability.
