What is Specialist Power Planning?

Specialist Access Power Planning will be responsible for Jazz Access Network infrastructure planning. This role reports directly to the Manager Access Power Planning with a team of 3 members (including Line Manager).

What does Specialist Power Planning do?

• Must have an understanding of Telecom power infrastructure.
• Evaluation and dimensioning of power infrastructure to plan efficient utilization of power, environment, and space.
• Close coordination with field teams to opt for best possible solution.
• Review current deployments of telco and non-telco equipment at access sites & prepare plan to fulfill power and space requirement in expansion projects.
• Initiate purchase requisitions against projects aligned with line manager and issue purchase orders to vendors for procurement of supply and services.
• Tracking of purchase orders to ensure delivery within committed timelines.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure hardware capitalization and issuance.
• Recommend alternate energy solutions that can benefit with better efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Come up with operational excellence/ power optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronics/Telecom ·
• 2 to 3 years’ experience in telecom industry
• Highly collaborative
